Christmas Crafts
Christmas Craft Ideas
Question: Do you have any great Christmas craft ideas to do with the kids?
Answers:
1) Ginger bread houses are always fun, we always used to make various ornaments (trees, reindeer, etc).
A fun way to make ornaments is to go and buy the bulb ornaments, various colored tissue paper and some elmers glue. Tear the tissue paper into tiny shreds, mix the glue half and half with water and dip the paper into the mixture. Then apply the wet paper to the ornaments (keep repeating with various colors until the whole ornament is covered)...in the end they end up looking like little stained glass ornaments
2) Well of course! The tree decoration crafting!!! Every year, you could have your kids make a nice craft for the tree, and then, each year, you can see how better they have become and put them higher on the tree as they grow taller! So by the time they're 15-16 (or more) well you have all sorts of meaningful, nostalgic memorabilia
3)Popcorn garlands! But make lots of extra popcorn... those little monsters will et a lot of it on the sly!
4)Using clear contact paper - peel a sheet about the size of your worktable, and sprinkle multi colored glitter, and sequins on it. then cover with a second sheet of the clear contact paper. Now you can cut out Christmas shapes to hang on the tree. To make place mats, use the same technique, only cut the sheets the size of your placemat. You can also use sparkle yarn or metallic thread to make designs inside the placemats.
